Renee has a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas and is working towards licensure as a professional clinical counselor. Renee is supervised by a licensed psychologist at NewPath. She is a former social worker with ten years experience working with older adults adjusting to life transitions, grief and loss, trauma and abuse, conflict management, homelessness and physical disabilities. Her clinical interests include depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance abuse and personality disorders. Renee draws upon her experiences as a former social worker and utilizes a variety of approaches and interventions, including CBT, motivational interviewing, experiential and solution-focused methods. She approaches therapy as a collaborative effort between client and therapist to foster adaptive and heathy ways to adjust to life’s challenges.
